The foundation was created in 2009 with a goal to serve its community through student scholarships and community service events. In the past ten years we have raised over $649,000.00 and have been able to award 577 scholarships to college bound seniors. We have only been able to award these scholarships because of the generosity of people like you.
The Memorial Fund was created in memory of Sara Strey. Sara was a junior at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, TX and a graduate of East Central High School in San Antonio, TX. She was the daughter of Donna and David Solarczyk of St. Hedwig, TX and Shawn Strey of La Vernia, TX. Sara was an inspiration to all. Making friends easily and excited about a future career in accounting. She understood the importance of a college degree. To help achieve her goals she worked multiple jobs to finance her college education and volunteered with several organizations as a student.
