About Sara Strey
While in high school, Sara was involved in soccer, FFA, a class officer, and many other extracurricular activities. Giving back to her community was important and she volunteered with many non-profit organizations. She understood the importance of a college degree and worked multiple jobs to finance her college education.
Sara was a junior at Texas Lutheran University and a graduate of East Central High School. She was the daughter of Donna and David Solarczyk of St. Hedwig and Shawn Strey of La Vernia.
The Sara Strey foundation was created by family members and friends to honor the memory of Sara. The main goal of the Foundation is to help other students reach their dreams of a college education by assisting them with scholarships.
